Crossbreeding: Solaris X Dornfelder

Description
This blue grape variety, with its noble character, as the name reveals, has great similarities and heritage from the Dornfelder grape variety.

Harvesting
The clusters are large and loose with medium to small grapes and give a relatively even harvest.

Cultivation site
This grape variety requires planting in a well-planned location with good conditions and in slightly warmed soils; avoid high clay content which is usually colder.

The wines
Powerful, deep and rich in tannins - suitable both on its own and in blends with fruitier grape varieties.
